This nationally recognised unit provides the skills and knowledge required to safely enter and work in confined spaces across a range of industries, including construction, utilities, mining, and civil infrastructure. A confined space is defined as a partially or fully enclosed area that is not designed for continuous occupancy and presents a risk from hazardous substances or conditions.

The course is essential for workers who may be required to enter or work near confined spaces and must meet WHS and industry compliance standards.

Practical training is performed within a purposely built confined space simulator, including tagging and lockout processes and the use of atmospheric testing devices. This unit largely focuses on a practical training approach to ensure participants are well equipped and prepared for working within a confined space.
