CPCCLRG3001 Rigging basic level (Work Ready)
This unit specifies the outcomes required to perform basic rigging work associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists, placement of pre-cast concrete, safety nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes. The prerequisite is that you must have a Dogging High Risk Work Licence, EWP Licence and be over 18 years of age.
Course Overview
This 5-day practical training course prepares learners to undertake basic rigging tasks safely and competently. Content includes planning the job, selecting and inspecting equipment, setting up tasks and erecting and dismantling structures and plant.
Training Commitment
Learners must commit to up to 10 hours per day over 5 days, with additional evening revision recommended. This intensive format ensures a strong foundation for success in high-risk rigging environments.
Assessment
Assessments are conducted throughout the course to verify knowledge and skills in preparation for WHSQ high-risk licensing. Learners who do not meet pre-assessment requirements may need to undertake further training. Re-attendance fees may apply.
Fees and Payment
To secure a place in the course, a $1,500 deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining $500 is payable on the first day of the course.
