CPCCLRG3001 Licence to perform rigging basic level

RB

This nationally recognised course provided participants with the skills and knowledge required to perform rigging work safely and competently in accordance with WHS regulations and industry standards. This 5 day course includes theory and practical training associated with movement of plant and equipment, steel erections, hoists, placement of pre-cast concrete, safely nets and static lines, perimeter safety screens and shutters; and cantilever crane loading platforms for licensing purposes. Students must be over 18 years of age.

Entry Requirements

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older
  • Participants must have a Dogging High Risk Licence, EWP Licence
  • Basic English literacy and numeracy required
  • Participants must provide valid identification
  • PPE (e.g. steel cap boots, high-vis clothing) must be worn

Delivery Format

  • Face-to-face training across 5 days
  • Learners may need to allocate additional time for evening revision to maximise learning outcomes
  • Includes theory and practical training, RTO and licensing assessments
  • Delivered using Work Ready training methods designed to prepare candidates for real job sites

Course Content

Participants will learn to:

  • Identify methods of moving and placing tools, equipment and materials
  • Select and inspect equipment
  • Establish and maintain communication
  • Erect and dismantle structures and plant
  • Pack up and remove risk controls and equipment

Assessment

Assessment includes:

  • Written theory assessments
  • Calculations assessment
  • Practical assessments conducted in accordance with RTO and WHSQ requirements

Outcome

On successful completion, participants will receive:

  • A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment
  • Candidate Assessment Summary (CAN) required to apply for a High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) – RB class

Fees and Payment

A deposit of $1500 is required at the time of booking to secure a place. The remaining $500 is payable on the first day of the course. If pre-assessment requirements are not met, further training may be required and re-attendance fees may apply.
