This nationally recognised course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP)where the boom length is 11 metres or more, in accordance with legislative and site-specific requirements. Students must be 18 years or over.

If the trainer determines, based on a pre-assessment, that a learner requires further practice to meet the required competency level, the learner may be required to return for additional practical training on the next available date. In such cases, a re-attendance fee may apply.
Logbook courses allow students aged 17 to undertake formal training and begin accumulating supervised operating hours in preparation for their high-risk work licence. While students must be 18 years of age to undertake the final licence assessment, the logbook pathway provides an opportunity to build practical experience in the lead-up to assessment eligibility.
The logbook course typically consists of two days of structured training. Following this, the assessor will determine and allocate an appropriate number of supervised hours that the student must complete in the workplace before they are eligible to proceed to the final assessment.
