SUMMARY:TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
DESCRIPTION:TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating platform (boom length 11 metres or more) \nWP\n\n\nThis nationally recognised course equips participants with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a boom-type elevating work platform (EWP)where the boom length is 11 metres or more\, in accordance with legislative and site-specific requirements. Students must be 18 years or over. \nThis program is delivered over three full days and includes a combination of: \n\n \n	Face-to-face classroom theory\n	Hands-on practical training\n	High Risk Work Licence assessment\n \n\nThe course is designed to prepare candidates for operating EWPs in real-world\, high-risk work environments across construction\, infrastructure\, and industrial sites. \n\nEntry Requirements\n\n \n	Candidates must be 18 years or over\n	Must have basic English language\, literacy and numeracy skills\n	Must provide valid photo identification\n	PPE is required (e.g. hard hat\, high-vis clothing\, safety boots)\n\n\nCourse Content\n\nParticipants will learn to: \n\n\n	Conduct routine checks and equipment inspections\n	Assess the work area for hazards and apply control measures\n	Operate the EWP safely to position personnel and materials\n	Apply risk control principles and emergency procedures\n	Shut down and secure the EWP\n\n\nAssessment\n\nAssessment includes: \n\n\n	Written theory test\n	Calculations assessment\n	Practical skills assessment\n\n\nAll assessments are conducted in accordance with WHSQ-approved assessment instruments. \n\nOutcome\n\nUpon successful completion\, participants will receive: \n\n\n	Statement of Attainment for TLILIC0005\n	Candidate Assessment Summary (CAN) required to apply for a High Risk Work Licence – WP class\n\n\nIf the trainer determines\, based on a pre-assessment\, that a learner requires further practice to meet the required competency level\, the learner may be required to return for additional practical training on the next available date. In such cases\, a re-attendance fee may apply. \n\nTarget Audience:\n Logbook courses allow students aged 17 to undertake formal training and begin accumulating supervised operating hours in preparation for their high-risk work licence. While students must be 18 years of age to undertake the final licence assessment\, the logbook pathway provides an opportunity to build practical experience in the lead-up to assessment eligibility. \n\nThe logbook course typically consists of two days of structured training. Following this\, the assessor will determine and allocate an appropriate number of supervised hours that the student must complete in the workplace before they are eligible to proceed to the final assessment. \n \n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n \n \n\nLearning Methods:\n Training in theory\, practical and assessments\n \n\nProgram Benefits:\n \n \n\nContent:\n \n \n Enquire \nUpcoming Workshops\n NameDateTimeLocationAvailable SpacesCost

SUMMARY:CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
DESCRIPTION:CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry \nWC\n\n\nThis unit provides the mandatory work health and safety training required before commencing work on any construction site. It is essential for ensuring all workers understand basic site safety requirements and their WHS responsibilities. This course is delivered face-to-face and typically takes 3 to 6 hours to complete. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Basic language\, literacy and numeracy skills are required. Upon successful completion\, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit and a White Card at a cost of $150.\nUnit Overview\nThis unit provides participants with the fundamental knowledge and personal awareness required to work safely in construction environments. It ensures learners understand their responsibilities under health and safety legislation and can apply safe work practices to prevent injury or harm. \n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n \n	- Identify and report common construction hazards\n	- Understand and apply basic risk control measures\n	- Recognise and follow procedures for responding to incidents and emergencies\n	- Correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE)\n\n \n\nImportant Information\nIt is expected that participants will complete site-specific induction training before commencing work on a construction site. Licensing\, legislative\, regulatory\, or certification requirements apply to this unit. \n\nTarget Audience:\n \n \n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n \n \n\nLearning Methods:\n \n \n\nProgram Benefits:\n \n \n\nContent:\n \n \n Enquire \nUpcoming Workshops\n NameDateTimeLocationAvailable SpacesCostCPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry\n 28 May 2026\n 07:00 am - 01:00 pm\n PORTSMITH\n 7\n $150.00\n Enrol

SUMMARY:RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confirmed spaces
DESCRIPTION:RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces \nCSE\n\n\nThis nationally recognised unit provides the skills and knowledge required to safely enter and work in confined spaces across a range of industries\, including construction\, utilities\, mining\, and civil infrastructure. A confined space is defined as a partially or fully enclosed area that is not designed for continuous occupancy and presents a risk from hazardous substances or conditions. \n\nThe course is essential for workers who may be required to enter or work near confined spaces and must meet WHS and industry compliance standards. \nPractical training is performed within a purposely built confined space simulator\, including tagging and lockout processes and the use of atmospheric testing devices. This unit largely focuses on a practical training approach to ensure participants are well equipped and prepared for working within a confined space.\nWhat You’ll Learn\n\nParticipants will gain knowledge and practical skills in: \n\n\n	\n	Identifying confined spaces and associated hazards \n	\n	\n	Risk assessment and hazard control measures \n	\n	\n	Safe entry and exit procedures \n	\n	\n	Use of gas detection equipment \n	\n	\n	Permit-to-work systems \n	\n	\n	PPE selection and use \n	\n	\n	Applying emergency and rescue procedures \n	\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nThis course is suitable for: \n\n\n	\n	Workers entering or working around confined spaces \n	\n	\n	Supervisors and safety observers \n	\n	\n	Maintenance and shutdown crews \n	\n	\n	Anyone required to hold a confined space qualification under WHS legislation \n	\n\n\n\nTraining Commitment\n\n\n	\n	Delivery Mode: Face-to-face \n	\n	\n	Duration: Typically 1 day (approximately 8 hours) \n	\n	\n	Format: Classroom-based theory followed by practical training in a simulated confined space environment \n	\n\n\n\nTarget Audience:\n \n \n\n\nLearning Outcomes:\n \n \n\nLearning Methods:\n \n \n\nProgram Benefits:\n \n \n\nContent:\n \n \n Enquire \nUpcoming Workshops\n NameDateTimeLocationAvailable SpacesCost
